Ogrun Assault Corps

The Ogrun Assault Corps is a good utility unit for the Rhulic and Mercenary faction ans well as for Cygnar and Menoth. They don't do any job as well as other models but with the right spells and support they can get better. Especially with Durgan Madhammer's feat making their AOEs have boosted attack and damage rolls.
The gang of five. Unfortunately I cannot find the paper for what paints I used.
The sergeant.
The sculpts for the grunts have two different bodies, heads and arms. By combining they differently you have different looking grunts.

Ogrun Bokur

The Ogrun Bokur is a solid defender and gets really good when he's close to his assigned client with a bonus to attack and damage rolls.
The model itself is a Hordes Everblight Warmonger with a Ogrun Bokur shield on it. I take no credit for the concept as I bought it that way. It is a good idea for those that want different looking Bokurs in their armies.

Unfortunately I cannot find the paper that had listed the paints I used, but they were Privateer Press P3 ones.

Firestorm Armada Objectives

Along with the newest edition of Firestorm Armada, they also made resin objectives and event cards to use when playing games, as an option. I can see using them in X-Wing, Star Wars Armada and other space based games.

These are much more uniform than the previous models that were made for Firestorm Armada before (civilian ships, point defence and comm satellites, and gun and torpedo satellites) although the older ones are still valid as units rather than objectives and are perfect for X-Wing and Star Wars Armada.

Dystopian Wars Objectives

Here are the optional Dystopian Wars objectives and event cards. They cover a wide variety of situations and help to theme the conflict you and your opponent are having.
I used dollar store paints and GW washes.
Each object represents found objects, industrial facilities or mad science projects that opponents can fight over. The set also comes with cards to represent what each item does when they are the only ones at an objective.

Carnevale Kickstarter

Carnevale was a kickstarter I participated in last year, from Vesper-On games. It is set in Venice and is a narritive skirmish miniatures game in the 18th century after a rip in the universe appears above Italy and disrupts Europe and the world with the weird power coming out from it. It changes and alters people and others have appeared over the world. I became interested in it during their first kickstarter that never got off the ground. After their second kickstarter gained momentum and I saw their Beats of War videos, I participated. Now they are here.
The rulebook also came with a smaller reference rulebook for ease of transport.
The book had good art and was well laid out. This art features one of the gifted, the White Dove.
Each model gets a page of naratitive and rules.
At the back they have painted models on display, much better painted than my ability can currently provide.
Here is the Patrician faction female noble. She comes with a fan in her right hand.
The Patrician faction butler.
The Patrician faction courtesan.

I like the quality of the models although they are not as good as the other Spanish game I play, Infinity. I purposefully chose the two factions (Patricians and Guild, with a few gifted) that have a lesser amount of altered beings. I wanted this as a change from the other games that I have with fantastical races and creatures.

They also included a miniature from their new 1:1 scale game, Home Raiders, about little people who travel to peoples homes and battle other factions for items. The idea seemed cute and fun but...I'll say this again like I always do...I don't need another miniature game.
I'll start painting the Carnevale figures next year and make some Venetian terrain, that I can also use for Malifaux.

Horizon Wars: Midnight Dark

Horizon Wars: Midnight Dark is a miniature agnostic skirmish ruleset that can be used for any small scale miniatures. The setting is near t...
