Guild Ball - Sixth Game and Downloads

A friend and I had our sixth game of Guildball, with the newest version of the Fisherman and Butcher team rules. We really have the hang of the game and only had to look up rules twice. We are going to try out the Mason and Mortician teams next. We are not playing with terrain until those rules are more ironed out.

They are also soon to reveal their brick and mortar store packages to help spread the word about this great game.

You can download the rules, team cards and paper standees (dolls) for five teams here, for free. The company has also stated that the rules will always be free which is great for spreading the word.

Give it a try and you'll be glad you did.

Warmachine Rhupert Carvolo

I've seen the usefulness of Rhupert Carvolo on the table and wanted to use him myself. He can grant either a defense bonus and terror, a tough bonus and fearless, or pathfinder to a warrior unit.
I started primed black. Then painted the pants P3 Thornwood Green, drybrushed P3 Traitor Green and lightly drybrushed 50/50 Traitor Green and P3 Menoth White Highlight. Then P3 Rucksack Tan for the pipe bag and drybrushed P3 Hammerfall Khaki. I used P3 Thamar Black on the hair and vest then drybrushed them with P3 Coal Black. The skin was painted with P3 Khardic Flesh then drybrushed with P3 Midlund Flesh and lightly drybrushed with P3 Ryn Flesh. The cuff of the pants were painted with P3 Wurm Green. The belt sash was painted with P3 Skorne Red and drybrushed with P3 Khador Red Highlight. The front pipe bag was painted with P3 Gun Corps Brown and lines drawn on it with green and purple paint pens. The pipe tops were washed with GW Gryphon Sepia, the pipe bags were washed with GW Ogryn Flesh and the whole model washed with GW Devlan Mud.
So far the model is well worth the points.

Dystopian Wars Airfield Scenery

I decided to paint my Dystopian Wars scenery during lunch hours at work. I started with the airfield set as its a good one to have in the middle of a field. I will eventually use felt for the runways.
I started primed black. Then I painted the blimp towers and radar tower with dollar store dark brown, then drybrushed them light brown. Then the roofs were painted dark green and drybrushed light green. The metal bits were drybrushed with dollar store silver. The windows and details were drybrushed with dollar store ivory.

The hangers were painted with dollarstore dark green then drybrushed with lighter green. Then the model was drybrushed with dollarstore silver.

Neverborn Lilitu

Lilitu is the other half of the nephilium woe, Lelu.
First sprayed with black the model's skin was painted in P3 Exile Blue, then drybrushed with P3 Cygner Blue Highlight and then lightly drybrushed with 50/50 P3 Frostbite and P3 Cygnar Blue Highlight. P3 Thamar black was used ont he hair which was given a drybrush of P3 Greycoat Grey and a lighter drybrush of P3 Ironhull Grey. The dress was painted with P3 Skorne Red, drybrushed P3 Khador Red Base and lightly drybrushed 2/1 P3 Khador Red Base and Frostbite. The whip was drybrushed with P3 Cold Steel and lightly drybrushed P3 Quicksilver. The horns were painted with P3 Bootstrap Leather, drybrushed with P3 Rucksack Tan and lightly drybrushed with P3 Menoth White Highlight. I then used a red painting pen on the lips and a silver pern on the metallic bits. The dress was washed with GW Baal Red, the horns with GW Gryphon Sepia and the skin with GW Ashuruman Blue. The whole body was then washed with GW Devlan Mud.
I look forward to using this model in future games. Now only Tuco remains for my nephilium!

Neverborn Lelu

Lelu is a nephilium and the woe of masocism and plays well with his twin, Lilitu. The first game I played with him, it was against Sonnia Crid and because he is bonded with Lilitu, they both would get the condition one of them would. Ouch.
I started primed black. Then the skin got a rough brush with P3 Skorne Red then drybrushed P3 Khador Red Base then a lighter drybrush with 50/50 P3 Frostbite and Khador Red Base. The pants and leather parts were redone with P3 Thamar Black, drybrushed with P3 Greycoat Grey then a lighter drybrush with P3 ironhull Grey. The horns were painted with P3 Bootstrap Leather then a lighter drybrush with P3 Rucksack Tan then an even lighter drybrush with P3 Menoth White Highlight. I then used a silver pen to do the buckle details. A wash over the skin was done with GW Baal Red, then the pants gor a light drybrushing with P3 Ironhul Grey and a super light drybrush or P3 Cryx Bane Highlight. Finally the horns were washed with GW Gryphon Sepia and the whole model washed with GW Devlan Mud.
I look forward to trying the twins out more.

Malifaux 2E Reference Sheets

In a previous post, I created some cards for use in playing Malifaux 2E, in particular for those learning the game. Although they were comprehensive, I found that they were too bulky and flipping them to find the action you were doing was cumbersome.

I have now created these sheets. Now I have all I need on two laminated pages. Laminating them means you can circle what strategies and schemes were available as well as mark victory points and players names. Or whatever you want.
You can still go to my previous post to get the strategy and scheme cards but I recommend trying these out. Let me know what you think and how I can make it better.

Game Setup sheet is here. Game Turn sheets are here.

Edit V1.1: Changed wording on Dense Terrain.

Metal Earth 3D Millenium Falcon Model

From a company called Fascinations comes this magnificent Star Wars model of the Millennium Falcon.
I had fun putting this together over lunch hours with a pair of pliers.
From two thin sheets of metal, this model went together quickly. I'm interested in more of them after this first experience with their product.

Neverborn Lilith Avatar

This Lilith avatar model was easy to put together, with JB quickweld, and paint. I have not faced up against any avatars but with the new rules being beta tested I though I would get started on Lilith and Perdita avatars...before its too late.
The model was primed black. The tree  and parts of Lilith was brushed with P3 Battlefield Brown, drybrushed with P3 Bootstrap Leather and lightly drybrushed with P3 Rucksack Tan. Lilith was painted with P3 Khardic Flesh then drybrushed with P3 Midlund Flesh and lightly drybrushed with P3 Ryn Flesh. The hair was done with P3 Skorne Red and drybrushed with P3 Khador Red Base. The transition areas between the tree and Lilith were drybrushed with P3 Underbelly Blue and lightly drybrushed with P3 Frostbite. The tree was washed with GW Ogryn Flesh, Lilith with GW Devlan Mud and the transition area with GW Asuruman Blue. GW Liche Purple was used around the base and lichen was used on the tree and the join from the base of the tree to the main trunk.
The result is good and simple and I look forward to manifesting her on the tabletop.

Cygnar Warcaster Constance Blaize

The Privateer Press Warcaster Constance Blaize is a good melee caster, a rarity beyond any of the Stryker models. Her flashing blade spell can cut through models before she moves to attack another group to do it again. This increases when engaging an enemy assisted by Morrowinian forces or her personal jack, Gallant.
I lost the paper that I used to write down how I painted her. Refer to my Precursor Knight post here for the basics. I did drybrush more P3 Quick Silver here and there and used P3 Arcane Blue for the sword accumulators.
I've played her twice and she is a fun departure from ranged Cygnar lists.
