Gamezilla - Saint John

Gamezilla in Saint John is a nice gamestore with a fair variety of items. They were having a good sale on some items so picked up a Star Wars legion terrain pack and the Duke two player game. The store has several other locations in New Brunswick and in Moncton I picked up some SW Legion items there. Good folks.

Gametronics - New Minas NS

Gametronix is a very large game store in New Minas. Nova Scotia. They have extensive amounts of everything but there is one catch...they have no price tags on things. Makes for more time spent by the person at the till to ring up but they should have a scanning machine available for customers. The fellow who was there was very helpful with scanning items for me.

Vortex Games - Sackville NB

Vortex Games is a small but well stocked game store in Sackville NB. When I was last here it was mainly a comic store but they have switched to board, miniature, and card games.

Tiny Terrain - 15mm Trenches

I picked up some 15mm Tiny Terrain from Miniature Market and put it together for Horizon Wars.
It was painted with dollarstore paints and finished off with GW Stirland Mud. The bases I chose for the infantry are a little too big for this but will do just fine.
The larger vehicle entry trenches are just right.
They also look great from the side. Miniature Market did not have the corners when I ordered these but will pick some up the next order I make.
They do not look great for 28-32mm scale but will do until I make some for SW Legion 40mm scale, which will look good for down to 28mm.

Morticians - Obulus

Since I finished the Ratcatchers for Guildball, its time to move onto the Morticians. Obulus was the first captain made and because I participated in the kickstarter I have the special sculpt of the model.

Primed black. Clothing painted Greycoat Grey, drybrushed Cryx Bane Base, lightly drybrushed Cryx Grey Highlight, very lightly drybrushed Trollblood Base. Leathers painted Umbral Umber, drybrushed Iridian Flesh, lightly drybrushed Gun Corps Brown.
Skin painted Khardic Flesh, drybrushed mix Midlund Flesh/Menoth White Highlight, lightly drybrushed mix Ryn Flesh/Menoth White Highlight. Scarf and cane banner painted Beast Hide, drybrushed Hammerfall Khaki and Menoth White Highlight, lightly drybrushed Menoth White Highlight. Skulls painted Menoth White Highlight. Metals painted Quicksilver.
To make the textured base I used  the Sanctuary Basius 2 plate, painted it dollarstore black, heavily drybrushed Cryx Bane Base, drybrushed Cryx Grey Highlight, lightly drybrushed Trollblood Base. Model was washed Badab Black, then Agrax Earthshade. Feather cloak drybrushed with Cryx Bane Highlight. Outer rim of base painted Greycoat Grey.

Maki Games - Modular Underground Dungeon - Wave 1

At the end of 2016, I participated in the Maki Games Modular Underground Project kickstarter. Several years before that I participated in another Maki Games kickstarter for modular container modern/sci-fi and although the holes for the pegs had to be enlarged the company promised that this would be corrected in this one. The previous ones do look good, as seen here with my modern Batman themed containers for scenery, so I went for it.
After much back and forth with the factory in China to make it right, and a year and a half after it was supposed to be fulfilled, wave 1 had arrived! Wave 2 will have the kickstarter bonuses, stairs, balconies, sewer dodads, and extras I ordered.

Here is what is in the basic box along with what you can build with it.
The inside of the box is separated out and the bags are ziplocks. Perfect for keeping the little pegs and posts safe from loss.
Here are some Warmachine and Malifaux figs for scale.
How they fit together is with these baton pieces. Above that are the post pegs.
Here is what they will look like when assembled. I like the scale and detail. Should drybrush up really good.
I bought in for five boxes so that I could fill one 3 by 3 Batman, Malifaux, or Carnivale table with multiple levels. Alternatively it could be for a lower level or a part of a table for those games.I will post again once I have painted it up.
