France - Loire day 04 - Chateau Chenonceau Ground Floor pt 2 of 2

One of the rooms on the ground floor.
It had this extremely ornate and detailed dresser. Click on it to see more detail.
A more "modern" take on the Greek goddess Artemis.
 A detailed cabinet.
 Another large room.
The frame of the picture of King Louis the fourteenth is more detailed than the painting.
The upside down anchor is the mark used by legitimate bastards of royalty. I do not know who its for or why it is in the fireplace.
On closer look at the ceiling, the center arches are not straight. It would have been a difficult task for the stonemason to construct.
In the main hall was a grand display of flowers from the estate.
These two door carvings interested me. Here is the past, blind and clinging to religion.
Here is the future, fed and pampered.
