Malifaux Terrain with Foam - Part 1 Hazardous Fire

Its been a while since I made Malifaux specific terrain. It was 19 April, in fact. The reason for the lack of Malifaux terrain being made by myself  is due to the second most common terrain feature that I mentioned in my list of features in another post...the Creepy Structure. I've been wrestling with what I could do for that terrain piece and I should have moved onto other terrain for Malifaux while trying to figure it out. That's what i'm doing here. The third most common terrain feature...Hazardous Terrain.

Hazardous Terrain is chosen by one of the players, and it can be fire, acid or a deep hole. In this series of posts i'll make Hazardous Terrain fire. Foam fire. This terrain can also be used for any other game system.

Dollar and craft stores have a section with foam. You can generally get sheets for .33 cents or 4 for a looney (dollar).
For fire, i'm taking three colours...Red, dark orange and light orange. If the first store you go to does not have all three colours, just go to a different chain. I find the stock is different from chain to chain. Dollar Giant in Victoria has the best selection with Michael's a close second.
In the Malifaux rulebook they say that it has to be a minimum of 3 inches by 3 inches. I wanted the smallest of the fires to be no more than 5 inches across so i used a CD for that.
 Then i measured a 3 inch circle.
Taking some scissors, i cut a shape that might resemble a fire from straight above.
Then i cut shapes with light orange...
...and glued them with dollar store glue.
Finally i cut out and glued dark orange shapes and applied them to the top of the light orange shapes. Now i've got a 3, 4 and 5 inch diameter fires. All for less than $3 (~$1 for the foam and ~$1 for the glue...plus taxes).
Perdida approves but doesn't want to get too close.
