LANtasy 2016 and Guildball Demoes

LANtasy is a games convention in Victoria BC Canada. It hosted mostly computer LAN players but also miniature, roleplaying and board gamers with some vendors. It was held at Pearks recreation center. This convention was started by the organizers of the Gottacon LAN people when Gottacon staff put future conventions on pause.

For a medium sized convention it was run well although I never took part in any of the scheduled events. Instead I was there to demo the game Guildball Saturday and Sunday.
Myself and a friend ran through at least eleven people. We even got in a game each with a fellow's Engineers and it was only his second and third game ever. Many more people passed by and were interested.
There were people playing tournaments for Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, Kings of War, X-Wing, and even Blood Bowl! The roleplayers and boardgamers had the small side section (to the right).

The LAN side, as mentioned, took up half the room.
Next year they plan on taking all the space, thus doubling the footprint.
I did manage to get in an Infinity demo while I took a break. I have some minis from when I tried out the second edition of the game and have played one third edition game but played it badly. Now I am more familiar with the rules after playing the demo.
Look forward to next year and perhaps will run a tournament for Guildball! We shall see.
