General Ossrum

General Ossrum is a solid caster with some great tricks. His putting snipe on the Earthbreaker is a nice surprise to opponents.
I painted him the same as my forgeguard. I added to his skirt Battledress Green and drybrushed Traitor Green plus used it on his cap. Rhulic Gold was used on the shiny bits. On his belt pouches I used Iosian Green and drybrushed Wurm Green.
Then it was Meridius Blue on the blade and Drybrushed Arcane Blue on it and regular application on his goggles.
I then used GW Agrax Earthshade on the model as a wash.

Now onto more Rhulic models: Lord Rockbottom, Herne and Brun.

Durgen Madhammer

Durgen Madhammer is feisty little Rhulic. He is great with units that have AOEs and in melee he can fight multitudes of weak units with ease. Just remember with his feat, you don't boost the damage roll for the "on target" AOEs, only the surrounding blast damage.
I used the basic paint scheme of my Forgeguard.
To that I added to his hair P3 Khador Red and drybrushed Khador Red Highlight. For his sash I painted it P3 Skorne Red and drybrushed Khador Red. The leather part of the hammer was painted P3 Bloodstone. The blue magical effects were painted P3 Meridius Blue and drybrushed P3 Arcane Blue. As a note, from now on, I will not put P3 in front of all my paints but If I use other companies paints I will indicate such.
I have been finding the wash I put on, Army Painter Strong Tone, too dark so I used GW Agnar Earthshade. I really like it.

Next is General Ossrum.

Ghordson Earthbreaker

The Ghordson Earthbreaker is the largest Privateer Press model I have put together. I have used the base of it as a proxy in ten games with friends but now it can intimidate the battlefield better now that it is no longer is stealth-ed and incorporeal. Using him with Thor Steinhammer has been magnificent but I think having a mechanic or two (a Tinker and Moonclaw) would enable him to remain on the battlefield longer.
I have my partially painted General Ossum in front for size comparison.
Here he is bare bones. I used JB quickweld for putting it together but left the head unglued in it so I can have it leer in the direction of unwanted attention.
Then I primed him black and heavily drybrushed him with P3 Cold Steel. The brown stuff you see on the model is Marmite, a disgusting yeast spread. It also prevents paint from sticking to it. More on that later.
Then I sprayed it with a tan color and drybrushed it with Hammerfall Khaki, lightly drybrushed the upper details with 50/50 Hammerfall Khaki and Menoth White and the lower areas with Gun Coprs Brown. The red areas were done with Skorne Red and drybrushed with Khador Red Highlight.
As you can see, it looks glopped on.
Same for the joints and the details are lost...but wait.
After brushing with an old toothbrush in a bucket of warm water the Marmite comes off and leaves the bare P3 Cold Metal underneath. Now I have that worn and battle damaged look.

I used this for my Warhammer 40k 20's Gangster Ork Trukk and was happy about it then and am happy about it now.
I then used some nupastel from Prismacolor on the work areas for a rust effect then put too much Army Painter Dark Tone wash on.

Soon I will put a protective coating on the model to prevent further flaking over time. he main thing I would change is less wash!

Now onto the few Rhulic I have left.

Ogrun Assault Corps

The Ogrun Assault Corps is a good utility unit for the Rhulic and Mercenary faction ans well as for Cygnar and Menoth. They don't do any job as well as other models but with the right spells and support they can get better. Especially with Durgan Madhammer's feat making their AOEs have boosted attack and damage rolls.
The gang of five. Unfortunately I cannot find the paper for what paints I used.
The sergeant.
The sculpts for the grunts have two different bodies, heads and arms. By combining they differently you have different looking grunts.

Ogrun Bokur

The Ogrun Bokur is a solid defender and gets really good when he's close to his assigned client with a bonus to attack and damage rolls.
The model itself is a Hordes Everblight Warmonger with a Ogrun Bokur shield on it. I take no credit for the concept as I bought it that way. It is a good idea for those that want different looking Bokurs in their armies.

Unfortunately I cannot find the paper that had listed the paints I used, but they were Privateer Press P3 ones.

Rhulic Tactical Arcanist Corps

The Tactical Arcanist Corps is a good unit for the things that the Rhulic cannot do like magic ranged attacks, cover and helping prevent the enemy from getting close. They were painted with the same paint scheme as my Forgeguard. The flames were not done as well as my Thor Steinhammer model so i'll have to redo them.
There are lots of different configurations you can assemble them in as they have different head sculpts for the leader and different arm and hand poses.

I picked up two of these units so i'll have to try them out. After playing them the once, they seem good but time will tell.

Rhulic Horgenhold Artillery Corps

The Rhulic Horgenhold Artillery Corps are a dependable ranged unit and the arcing fire ability makes the enemy think twice about model placement. I used the same paint scheme as my Forgeguard.
Leader of the unit.
Loader of the unit.
Main gunner and cannon of the unit and the only female Rhulic model.

I picked up two of these units and am having fun with them. Makes the opponent spread out nicely for my melee and ranged guys to double team them.

Rhulic Hammerfall High Shield Wall and UA

The Rhulic Hammerfall High Shield Gun Corps and UA is an impressive unit. They have good armor made excellent when shield walling, can combine fire and with the UA can move shoot and move again or even fire twice.
I used the same paints as my Forgeguard, with a few additions of colored paint on the medals of the officer.

I made little errors here and there but I want to move onto other Rhulic models and the Ogrun.

Thor Steinhammer

Thor Steinhammer is a super solid solo. He can be a jack marshal with Drive: Pronto, can boost Rhulic jack's attack or damage rolls, and has a flamethrower!
I started with a spray primer of Krylon black then a rough drybrush of Hammerfall Khaki. Then a drybrush of Gun Corps Brown on the shaded areas and a drybrush of 50/50 Hammerfall Khaki and Menoth White Highlight on the raised sunny side of the model. Then it was Cold Steel to the metal parts. The face was done with Dark Flesh then a drybrush of Midlund Flesh and a light drybrush of Ryn Flesh.
Molten Bronze was applied to some metal parts and those were drybrushed with Rhulic Gold. The flames were painted with Khador Red then drybrushed with Khador Red Highlight and finally lightly drybrushed with Cygnar Yellow. The leather parts were painted with Bootstrap Leather and drybrushed with Gun Corps Brown and lightly drybrushed with Rucksack Tan. The visor lens was painted with Arcane Blue. The whole model (except flames) was washed with Army Painter Dark Tone. The side of the model facing the flames was drybrushed with Cygnar Yellow to give some object source lighting. The base and arc was painted with Bootstrap Leather, graveled and flocked with GW stuff with Army Painter Wasteland Tuft.
This little guy will probably be an auto include because he's so awesome with Rhulic Jacks.

Wroughthammer Rockham

The Wroughthammer Rockham is a good melee and ranged jack.
Molten Bronze was applied to some metal parts and those were drybrushed with Rhulic Gold. The red accent area was painted with Skorne Red then drybrushed with Khador Red and finally lightly drybrushed with Khador Red Highlight. The whole model was washed with Army Painter Dark Tone. The base and arc was painted with Bootstrap Leather, graveled and flocked with GW stuff with Army Painter Wasteland Tuft. I then drew Rhulic glyphs on their sides with a paint pen.
Now for more Rhulic units and solos!

Ghordson Avalancher

The Ghordson Avalancher can dish damage out at range and take it too.
One more Rhulic Jack model to go (besides the second Driller jack)!

Ghordson Basher

The Ghordson Basher has some notariety as an assasain jack. With the right spells and focus it can bash its way to a caster kill but it also can help with scenario and board control as well as eliminating fragile models.
Looking forward to playing it!

Ghordson Driller

The Ghordson Driller is a very focus efficient jack and is amongst the cheapest heavys in the game. Add the auto hit if previously hit means lots of attacks or boosted damage rolls.
I have another Driller that will be painted but I had to wait for the missing leg to arrive from Privateer Press. An excellent missing part service they have.

So many Cops!

There are many, many models that have the Cop  keyword in the Batman Miniature Game, and very few are not part of the Law Forces faction. S...
