I ran a friendly three round Guildball tournament in Duncan
at a store called Dicebaggames. It was successfully held
and fun was had by all. Nine people attended so I subbed in for the three games so none
would be left without an honored opponent. Prizes for 1st place, best Painted team, best Goal, and best Sportsman were given out with certificates for 2nd and 3rd.
Things people liked
were the terrain and terrain placement being the same for all pitches
for each round. They also liked the rules of the terrain written right on
the terrain itself. Things to consider for next time are keeping it
casual and having some of the unusual style of tournaments (Captain
my captain and Dodgeball for instance).
For my first
miniature tournament the pre-planning helped a lot so that I could
participate as a fill in player without interrupting the game too
much for answering questions by other coaches. Look forward to the
next one.
Not the winning goal but a fun one none the less.
The winning painted team, Fishermen.
