I've been going through my models I no longer want, and posting them on UsedVictoria. This is so I can make room for making terrain because you need space to fill up space, otherwise you run out of space. I've also been spending time reading the Hugo nominees as a voting member of this years Worldcon convention. Although I've read a few really great works that I would not have otherwise, I have not been spending as much time assembling and painting models. Currently I'm grinding through Ogrun for my Warmachine Mercenary Rhulic army but it is slow going.
What has helped is sticking to my thirty minutes a day rule. No matter what project I'm working on, dedicating a little time means I can see progress. What has also helped is looking through a stack of Privateer Press's No Quarter Magazines for terrain ideas and how-to guides. I'm getting lots of ideas and thinking of making an index of the first fifty issues for easier reference when looking for an article or subject. Stay tuned for that.
Otherwise be patient for when I finish my Ogrun. They are getting really close.

Guildball Kickstarter has been delivered
Well, the Guildball kickstarter I participated in a year ago has now been delivered and I'm very excited about it. The overall quality of the rulebook and figures is top notch. Guildball is a medieval setting football (soccer) game with skirmish combat elements. Generally 3-6 players per team. Victory is obtained by getting victory points through scoring goals and eliminating the opposition from the field.
The art inside the rulebook is very nice. There is also a thank you from the game designers for our help recommending rule changes and such during the year of beta testing. Very nice of them to recognize myself and my friend.
The rules are laid out fantastically and I like the oversize landscape format.
Each of the teams have a group picture and then further details on their background and rules. Above is the Engineers. Very steampunk. Expect character rules to change as the "seasons" move forward.
Above is a shot of the Fishermen captain and the team mascot. Each team has one.
Cards are two sided with general statistics and rules on one side and the combat playbook on the other. Each model has its own unique flavor and rules.
Here is Siren, one of the Fishermen. Great quality and little to no flashing.
Going to put together my Brewers and Masons this year and add one or two teams a year. Stay tuned for more on Guildball as time moves on.

Maki Containers
When I saw the Maki Containers on Kickstarter, I was impressed but concerned. My concern at the time was that I just got involved with the Deadzone scenery kickstarter and didn't think I should get into another one. Realizing that having different scenery from different manufacturers would make for a better table to play on I went for it.
As you can see the basic container is a perfect size for 25-32mm scale miniatures.
The product is designed for many of them to fit together. There are also walkways, ladders, stairs and other do-dads.
Although several items were forgotten with the parcel I was sent, the company sent all the missing items. I now call myself satisfied with the product.
Their pin system encourages you to build whatever you wish and be able to take it apart again. This for me was why I went for this product's Kickstarter after getting the Deadzone one. Time will tell how lit looks after multiple reconfigurations.
If you like what you see, you can order the containers and more from their website here.

Thirty Minutes a Day for Model Making Power!
Is your life busy but you keep buying models!
Do you want to paint a whole army but don't think you have the time!
Is panic what you feel when you look at how far you have to go!
Never fear...with TTT's thirty minute a day plan, you too can paint an army in no time!
Joking aside, who does not have thirty minutes a day? Even with a family, everyone needs a break so why not go for a half hour? It really adds up, as you've seen by the amount of models that I've painted. Yes, they are not contest quality but tabletop quality for sure.
Thirty minutes a day is three and a half hours a week.
Fourteen hours a month.
One hundred and eighty two hours a year.
Four hundred and eighty two hours in four years (average time between editions of most rulebooks).
How many factions and armies could you paint with four hundred and eighty two hours?
Why not start now?

Rhulic Tactical Arcanist Corps
The Tactical Arcanist Corps is a good unit for the things that the Rhulic cannot do like magic ranged attacks, cover and helping prevent the enemy from getting close. They were painted with the same paint scheme as my Forgeguard. The flames were not done as well as my Thor Steinhammer model so i'll have to redo them.
There are lots of different configurations you can assemble them in as they have different head sculpts for the leader and different arm and hand poses.
I picked up two of these units so i'll have to try them out. After playing them the once, they seem good but time will tell.

Rhulic Horgenhold Artillery Corps
The Rhulic Horgenhold Artillery Corps are a dependable ranged unit and the arcing fire ability makes the enemy think twice about model placement. I used the same paint scheme as my Forgeguard.
Leader of the unit.
Loader of the unit.
Main gunner and cannon of the unit and the only female Rhulic model.
I picked up two of these units and am having fun with them. Makes the opponent spread out nicely for my melee and ranged guys to double team them.
