Well, the Guildball kickstarter I participated in a year ago has now been delivered and I'm very excited about it. The overall quality of the rulebook and figures is top notch. Guildball is a medieval setting football (soccer) game with skirmish combat elements. Generally 3-6 players per team. Victory is obtained by getting victory points through scoring goals and eliminating the opposition from the field.
The art inside the rulebook is very nice. There is also a thank you from the game designers for our help recommending rule changes and such during the year of beta testing. Very nice of them to recognize myself and my friend.
The rules are laid out fantastically and I like the oversize landscape format.
Each of the teams have a group picture and then further details on their background and rules. Above is the Engineers. Very steampunk. Expect character rules to change as the "seasons" move forward.
Above is a shot of the Fishermen captain and the team mascot. Each team has one.
Cards are two sided with general statistics and rules on one side and the combat playbook on the other. Each model has its own unique flavor and rules.
Here is Siren, one of the Fishermen. Great quality and little to no flashing.
Going to put together my Brewers and Masons this year and add one or two teams a year. Stay tuned for more on Guildball as time moves on.
