Horizon Wars - Ruined City

Painted with dollarstore paints is my Horizon Wars Ruined City terrain. It is Games Workshop Epic 40k terrain and I have more but wanted some just to have a few buildings for small games.
My work in progress models with the terrain are my Insurgency models.

It was primed black, drybrushed dark grey, and lightly drybrushed light grey.

The Ratcatchers guild box comes with a goal, terrain (rough ground), and a ball. I also painted the Broken Toad kickstarter ball for the Ratcatchers. They were painted with mostly dollarstore paints.

Ottawa - Game Stores

I visited four places that sold games in Ottawa. Strategy Games and The Comic Shop had good selection (especially Strategy Games). My two favorites were The Loft and Fandom II.

The Loft is located in a historical building with a bar and games to play downstairs and a loft with games to play and for sale upstairs. I liked the vibe here and picked up two new games on sale.

Fandom II has board, war, miniature, and role playing games. I had been here before almost a decade ago an it has the same great mix of items for sale. I picked up some token here but could have bought more if I had the room.

Malifaux 3rd edition Open Beta

Now that the closed beta is done, the open beta is live! This edition looks like an improvement with better crew building, clear LOS sight rules, ability to use cover to defend against melee attacks, streamlined model card rules, and so much more. Take a look!
