Above they are just glued to the base.
Here they are after applying an air-hardening model clay.
This is the clay I used.
I used old dental tools from my wife's dental office. They've come in handy more than once. See if your personal dentist can set aside some for you.
I sculpted a manhole cover on the mature Nephilium's base.
After applying the above to the base, i just made lines going across and then staggered lines perpendicular to them to form the cobblestones.
After 24 hours drying, i painted the stones with GW Chaos Black.
Then some dark dollarstore brown. The manholecover was painted GW Dark Angels Green.
The light pole was also painted GW Dark Angels Green, then all the cobblestones were drybrushed with dollarstore reddish brown.
The manhole cover and pole were drybrushed with GW Catachan Green.
Then I used P3 Ironhull Grey and P3 Cold Steel on the manhole cover and the metallic bits on the pole. I then used P3 Arcane Blue to paint the glass bits on the pole. Then i used a Testors Neon Yellow enamel on the pole for lighting effects. It gunked up my brush so i'll have to use paint thinner to clean it.
I glued the Cherub to the pole and pewter bits under the base to weigh it down. Then used the Testors Neon Green to put lighting effects on the Cherub.
And on the back too.
So there it is. Next will be the Guild's Perdida gang and a few other models for an even fight. More to come.
